Rye Beach Retreats - Camber Sands

Camber Sands Beach

East of the beautiful town of Rye, Camber Sands is it’s own stretch of golden paradise.

The rugged, natural, and picturesque beach is a popular destination for beach retreat go-ers. The clean sands and open space are ideal for families wanting to create new memories, play and make the most of the Sussex coastline. There are endless sand dunes for games of hide and seek, secluded picnic spots or even to settle in and read a book.

Winter offers an entirely new experience, where dogs are allowed back on the beach to run free. Allowing your canine friends to jump in and out of the waves as the tide rolls in. Surrounded by interesting wildlife and unspoilt views it’s a beautiful place for a experiencing a walk and let your hair down.

A beach retreat that really is just a stones throw from London!

Winchelsea Beach

Winchelsea Beach is small, rural, and much quieter than many of the more developed resorts along this stretch of the south coast like Camber sands and Hastings beaches.

The gently sloping shingle beach is still a great location to explore for a beach retreat stay. When the tide goes out there is a large area of level sand and mud that you could walk with your dog a little more comfortably.

If you stand at the top of the sea wall there are views toward Camber Sands and Dungeness and on clearer days it is possible to see the red cliffs at Fairlight.

The historic town of Winchelsea, is only about one and a half miles from Winchelsea Beach and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve lies just a short walk from the beach.
